Wedding Style - Lead Wedding Coordinator

Wedding Style was my own business that I successfully ran for 10 years.  It initially started as a wedding consulting service that later expanded to include a bustling retail expansion called First Comes Love. I was a full time owner/operator until we decided to expand our family through adoption in 2015.  As the manger and lead coordinator, I was responsible for all aspects of wedding consulting and design, vendor procurement, B2B negotiations, employee training, marketing and sales. 


Americorps VISTA volunteer - Volunteer/Program Coordinator

This is a tradition in my family - Three generations strong! I was the second member of my family to join and my oldest son is now serving as the third.  This was definitely one of the most rewarding and valuable experiences of my career.  I proudly served as one of two VISTA volunteers for Friends of Special Children, a local organization that directly supported Nevada Early Interventions Services. Our goal and mission was to focus on sustainability through a solid pool of volunteers while providing community outreach to families of children with special needs. Duties included volunteer recruitment, training and acknowledgement, fundraising, event planning, partnering with local businesses and community engagement. 

I served two terms as a VISTA volunteer and later joined their board of directors for another two years.
